RESTORATIONS
Here are some of the special cars we’ve restored or worked on at K&T Vintage Sports Cars.
We perform all levels of restorative work, from all-out, ground-up, every-nut-and-=bolt restoration for concours class cars to smaller repairs and mends and cosmetic fix-ups for cars that are going to be driven.

1977 Maserati Khamsin

1977 Maserati Khamsin
This grand tourer was designed by Marcello Gandini, who also designed the Lamborghini Miura, Countach and Diablo. Less than 300 are in existence and even fewer in the manual version. This car participated in the Maser Miglia in the Colorado Rockies and was also driven across the Canadian Rockies. This car was shown extensively as part of the large Maserati collection owned by John Buckout, the ex-CEO of Shell Oil. Shortly after a new owner purchased it, this car was put under the regular care of the chief US Ferrari race car mechanic (owner of Autoelite in New Jersey). Hydraulics were maintained by Dave Burnham, the East US coast Citroen guru. The car was fantastic to drive with a roaring engine, 2 turns lock-to-lock and a mid-engine feel (since the front engine was mounted further back than in most cars). The car demonstrated its prowess at a couple of track events (NJ Motor Sports and Monticello Motor Club) and continued to collect awards, including best car at Run Out East, Long Island.

1929 NASH Series 430 Special Six Coupe

1929 Nash Special Six Coupe
Here's a real vintage car ... a solid 1929 Nash Series 430 Special Six rumble seat coupe that has came to us for the attention needed to get back on the road after a number of years parked. A much bigger car than most that come to our shop, it has a 116-inch wheelbase, wooden spoke wheels, and a length of almost 16.5 feet. It has a 3-speed manual transmission. This wasn't a restoration project, but a "get 'er running" job. We checked the ignition, cleaned and flushed the fuel system, and had a metal part custom cast for a part of the steering wheel assembly that had disintegrated with age. It was a fun car to work on.

This car features a two-coil, six-cylinder engine ... with TWO spark plugs per cylinder
(One set is in the head, the other set is in the block.)

Like all really early cars, the interior of the Nash Coupe is a study in simplicity. With real wood dash and mohair seats, natch.
